 ???ViewItemFull_lblAbstract???: In view of the persistently dynamic changes which digitization entails for all areas of science, the need for a structure for networking, coordinating and taking action as exemplified by the Alliance Initiative remains as high as ever. The successful cooperation of Science Organizations in Germany in the Alliance Initiative will therefore be maintained for 2018 to 2022. The basis of the cooperation is explained in the present mission statement Shaping digital transformation in science. “Digital Information” Initiative by the Alliance of Science Organizations in Germany 2018 — 2022. The mission statement describes the principles and aspirations of the Alliance Initiative (Chapter 1), outlines the starting point and the thematic environment into which the Initiative fits in the third period of its cooperation (Chapter 2) and identifies the fields of action for digital transformation in science as well as the resulting potential priorities for the “Digital Information” Alliance Initiative (Chapter 3).
